Long time with no post...sorry! This month was a writing month and with that alone I haven't figured out how to keep up with my posts but this month I also became a member of the board of the Prince William Little Theatre. Along with becoming a board member, I volunteered to help out in any way with the current production, Bye Bye Birdie, which closed the weekend before last. More on that later. I promise I'll try harder!
To make a long story short...
To make a long story short...
For Camp NaNo I continued writing episodes of last year's NaNo story. I'm now officially into Season 3 and I'm totally happy with where everything seems to be going...lots of crazy happening which is gonna lead to some major twists and turns. Some of my characters are gonna hate me.
Back when Tam & I went to the Arts Alive! Festival I happened to run into my friend Susy. Now Susy's daughter and my sister have been best friends since they were in kindergarten so I basically grew up at Susy's house as much as my own. She has been involved with the Prince William Little Theatre for almost my entire life and is the reason I performed in a show with them the year after I graduated from high school. Seeing her at Arts Alive! and going to PWLT's show Baby a few months earlier cemented in me the desire to be more involved in the arts. Now, my plan was to go to more shows and just basically support by attending. However, a little while after the Arts Alive! event I got a message from Susy asking me if I would consider running for the board of the Prince William Little Theatre.
So here I am. I'm on the board and sold concessions for them during the run of Bye Bye Birdie. I'm still figuring things out as I go but I can honestly say that I love it. I love being involved, even in a small way, with something so awesome. I love meeting new theatre people who've become great friends in such a short time. I love the energy. I love seeing a show go from rehearsals to the stage. I just love it. You can expect to hear more about PWLT from here on out!

On the job front, Bug and I have two more days to run around just the two of us before we become a trio by adding Lady Bug to our group. It will be interesting to see how he handles the transition considering that we normally hit up the train station, playground, park, library, etc during the morning before nap and now we'll be hanging out at home. They do have a neighborhood playground/pool/basketball court area but we'll probably save that for after we get into a solid routine. I have high hopes for him. Fingers crossed and all that.
Holy crap, it's August!
I'm finally taking a break from the writing and going back to crafts and crochet. Ok, I'm going to work on the Children's Book I wrote for Bug but that's not heavy writing at all. Seriously, it's a picture book. Or will be if I ever get illustrations for it from someone cause drawing is so not my forte.
I"m already at least halfway done with a scarf I meant to make last year but didn't budget time for and Bug's momma gave me this awesome crochet stitches book last week so I'll be looking through that to find inspiration for what comes after the scarf. I'm super excited cause it's an amazing book. I have the best job.
Since I'm back to crafting I shouldn't have any excuse when it comes to regular posting so I'll get back with you in a few days!
