On Monday we celebrated Memorial Day. I want to take this opportunity to send my heartfelt thanks and well wishes to all in our Armed Services and the families that support them. I am the proud great-granddaughter & granddaughter of members of the Navy & Marine Corps.
I love holidays. I love everything that goes along with celebrating holidays. I love the decorations, long held traditions and new ones, & I adore making holiday themed food. For our Memorial Day celebration at my brothers house I was put in charge of dessert. After simple Google search for "chocolate dessert" a few clicks took me to Chocolate Moosey and a recipe for Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treat Truffles (<--you can click there for her recipe).
Peanut butter & chocolate together? Sold. My awesome sis-in-law is allergic to peanuts so I made one batch with peanut butter and one without. They are super easy to make. Here's my version!
