Seriously. Really freaking cold. Only 9 degrees on Wednesday morning when I got to Bug's house.
Brr.
Bug had a kinda tough time on Wednesday. He hit his head pretty hard on Tuesday (trying to flip out of my arms as I stood up from his rocking chair in his bedroom) and since kids bump their heads frequently throughout the day it was rough going from time to time. I think the whole crying or hurting off and on took it's toll cause when we were playing hide-n-seek he totally fell asleep in the middle of counting.
Thursday was a much better day for Bug. It snowed overnight. Not very much but enough to go sledding. Last year I got to take Bug outside to see snow for the first time and this year I was really hoping we'd be able to go sledding since that first snowfall didn't even cover the ground. After breakfast I bundled him up in all the snow gear and had to chuckle cause for the first couple of steps he looked like the kid from A Christmas Story...

He wasn't quite as bad but I did get a few laughs. Sledding was awesome. I'm pretty sure we could have stayed out all day and he would have been totally cool with that. After his nap my mom came over to play for the hour before I got off work and we made a tiny snowman with the snow left on the deck. The deck is pretty much the only spot left with a lot of snow...the sun melted whatever it could reach unfortunately. I really hope we get one more day of real sledding before this winter is over. I miss the amount of snow that used to come each year on my birthday (I'm a December Baby) while I was younger.

During Bug's naps the past two days I made it to row 16 of 18. After those last rows are complete I've got two rows of edging. I'm debating switching to a new yarn for the edging but I'm not sure yet how that would look. I guess if worse comes to worse, or actually if it's all par for the course, I could just pull back and start those over. If there's any justice in the world I'll have Kiki's present completely finished before the weekend is over. Then it's on to Erin's legwarmers and if I can get those done by next Thursday I'll have reached my goals for the month. Whew...
