Right after I posted my last blog I started in on Katii's scarf. I got half of what was left done before I had to pack it in for bed. Yesterday during Bug's nap I finished both Katii's & Jamie's scarves. Whew!
Not only did I finish those two scarves but I was able to add three rows to my gift for Kristy before Bug needed to be woken up. That's where my progress stopped for the day because right after work I headed to Jammin Java in Vienna, Va to see Pierce & Grace Pettis. On the way I stopped by Haymarket to pick up Tam then Leesburg to get Erin. My cousin Julie met us at Jammin Java to finish out our group.

The show was amazing. Both Pierce and Grace are phenomenal songwriters but they also just made the show so much fun. Check out Grace's video to the right. I think you'll love her. After the show it was a reverse trip of Leesburg -> Haymarket ->Home which was kinda rough but I'm so glad I went! It was a great night and it gave my hands a small break from all the work which I didn't know I needed till I got it! | |
Today it was back to the grindstone. I made good progress on Kristy's gift...I got about 1/3 done during Bug's nap, which is good considering I have to refer to the pattern almost every other stitch. I didn't get much done after work again today because my nephew had his first every choral concert. It was adorable.
I'm thinking I'll make it through at least two rows before I head to bed. And I don't want to go to bed too late. We'll see!
