Chugging along. The beginning of this month doesn't have as much progress as fast as I would like but at least I'm not standing still.
I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made on the website redos/updates...of course I would be even happier if my sister (AHEM!) would respond to her facebook messages!
Monday night I drove over to Barnes & Noble like most other Mondays and met up with my Border Refugees. We're a group that spawned from doing NaNo and meeting at Borders then relocating to B&N when Borders went bye-bye. I seriously love those girls. They are some of my best friends and each Monday I get to hang out with them.
As much as I love them I also kinda hate them...at least from time to time. This Monday Jules became the subject of my hate. What did she do to wrong me? Click the text below, don't worry I'll wait...

WHAT OTHER PEOPLE MUST
SEE WHEN IM WORKING IN A
COFFEE SHOP
Now you can hate her, too. I didn't get much, or really anything, done after seeing that.
Tuesday I mainly worked on Jenna's scarf while Bug napped. I'm about 1/4 finished with scarf and I love the way the yarn is working up. Looks really great and I can imagine it will look even better with the safety orange added later. I decided on alternating between rows of single crochet stitches and half-double crochet stitches. And I'm probably going to stitch it together to make it an infinity scarf but I'm reserving judgement on that until I get the scarf completely finished.
After work I picked up Jules and we headed into Manassas Park to meet Liz at my friend Bekah's house. She's starting her business as a Pampered Chef Consultant and had her kick-off party last night. It was a fun, if slightly overwhelming, night. I got to see some ladies I don't see often and my friend Erin who I haven't seen in years. As fun as it was that meant I didn't get much work done last night. I'm pretty thankful this is a light month.
Today, other than writing up this blog, I've added a few rows to the scarf and I'm culling the ideas I have for my first short story of the month. The plan is to start writing that tonight after work. If I can stay off that damn site...
